If you’re building a wood frame for the tub, add rot-resistant cedar to the frame and do a dry run with it to make sure the rim will sit flush against the apron of the tub. A rot-resistant, sustainable option would be FSC-certified Ipe wood, which is strong and sourced from eco-managed forests.
